So I just left my annoyingly-cramped and non-airconditioned room in Johor Bahru so I could head over to City Square and grab some grub for dinner; nourishment which ended up being a rather good plate of carrot cake from one of the vendors in the food court on level five.
It seems that every time I leave the room I’m pleasantly surprised with an example of JDM goodness in Malaysia, and of course this time I was not disappointed.
Laden in bright canary paint and what I think was an attractive garnish of carbon (though it could have just been black paint, I wasn’t close enough to tell), was a wonderful example of what can be done with a Honda Fit, or Jazz as is the insufferably pseudo-chic name it’s been given in Australia.
It was simply modified, but in a way that totally defies the level of attractiveness of other cars out there which have had a lot more money spent on them in useless mods such as chameleon paint and the like.
Simply put, it is the kind of car I totally adore. Not over the top, but done in a way that adds value to the original form of the car making it a head-turner in its own right. My only wish is that I had snapped a quick photo of the thing - damn me and my camera-less antics.
- Leon.
