HKS D1 Altezza

As a kinda tribute to the return of Nobuteru to D1, I thought I’d post up some pics and info of the famous Altezzas he’ll be piloting on his return to the competition at Fuji next month.
With 560PS to play with in a package weighing only 1180kg, this 3S-GTE powered hyper-Altezza is stroked to 2.2L and blown by an HKS GT3037S running at 1.5 bar of boost. The cost to build the entire package? Around $300,000 USD (RM956,000). Multiply that by two and you have the cost incurred by the team to build both cars, and that’s not including the enormous amound of cash it must require to run and maintain one.
Impressive? Most definitely.
