Top Fuel S2000
April 2, 2008 by Leon
Every so often you see a tuning house go semi-psychopathic on a car and rip it apart only to create an end result which barely resembles what they started with. Top Fuel’s carbon S2000 is one such result of over-engineering and insane levels of tuning, and a car which I have a whole lot of respect for.

Barely anything on this car is standard, with every body panel being turfed out in favour of custom carbon items, a rear wing that measures up as being just over the 6ft mark, and a carbon diffuser so large that it resembles something designed to keep a fighter jet in straight and level flight.
The most impressive part of this car is what beats deep withn its chest however. The standard F20C has had almost every item on it replaced, with Top Fuel internals replacing the stock items and increasing the displacement of the engine to 2.2L, 1600cc injectors providing mass amounts of fuel flow to sate its enormous thirst, and a GT3240 turbo from HKS being added to feed this behemoth the amounts of air it needs to produce an absolutely spectacular 713PS.
The car was designed with quick lap times in mind and has so far managed a very impressive best time of 0′55”792 around Tsukuba being driven by none other than Nobuteru Taniguchi.

I would LOVE to see that S2k RUN!!!!
